With a fully edited manuscript, we return to you:
- The manuscript marked with all revisions
- A “clean” manuscript that has had copyedits accepted but retains queries as well as comments on substantive edits
- A mini-critique
- Three hours of correspondence via phone, Skype, or email (further correspondence is charged hourly)
- A stylesheet
A stylesheet is a list that an editor uses to keep track of details and make sure they stay consistent. It includes names, places, dates, ages, and descriptions used in you manuscript, so that the Countess of Drageen doesn’t have hair like a raven’s wing on page 9 and hair like the flame’s heart on page 90. (Yes, this happens.) It also lists distinctive word usage and style decisions.
